Inspired in part by an early work ‘News From Afar’, In Dreams tries to describe how memories change over time, how they can become more elaborate versions of their real counterparts and how they can, in turn, change the perceiver.
The relationship with memory becomes more important than real events and nostalgia becomes identity. Sadly, as the memory is chased, it is inevitably chased away and all that’s left is the lingering adaptation into persona.
To hold on to a memory, is to leave it locked away and untouched or it can easily become inseparable from pure nonsense, inseperable from a dream.
